Have You Discovered 'Posted By' on Your Team Page?
Before Facebook introduced 'Posted By' February 20, 2014 , Facebook pages admins only knew who posted what, if the person signed the post. This was problematic for follow-up when a reader would ask questions about a post.  Now when a page admin posts something to Facebook, an automatic 'Posted By' along with the name of the page admin who posted the item is visible to page admin. This opens a whole new area of opportunities for rewarding active page admins.

Facebook Page 'Posted By' - Solves Past Team Admin Problems

Why is Facebook 'Posted By' a welcome solution? Ashley Shafer posted the following insights about solutions provided by Facebook 'Posted By':

  1. Solves the Case of Whodunnit: Say you’re an admin on a page with a large group of other admins (as PR folk, we’ve found this to be the case with committee-based clients), and you see that there is an error in a recent post. Sure, you could just correct it yourself (and you probably should, for time’s sake), but you’ll also want to let whoever posted it know about the mistake so they can be careful of it in the future. Now you don’t have to email/text/privately message umpteen number of admins on the page – you can go directly to the creator.
  2. See how often each person is posting. If you’re supposed to be sharing responsibilities with other admins, this might help everyone stay accountable.
  3.  If a liker asks a question on a post, it’s helpful to know who wrote that post, because they might be the best person to answer the question.
  4. Giving kudos: Know who posted that engaging, informative and entertaining post that is getting the most interaction of any other post – they deserve to be recognized.
  5. You’ll know who posted that video or photo – you need the original file and you need it now.

Facebook Page Team Management - 'Posted By' Offers Admins New Opportunities!

Starting February 20, 2014 Facebook Page admins can see  the name of the person who posted listed below the name of your Page next to Posted by on page posts, as well as  on comments posted by the page. You can also see who posted or scheduled posts in your Page's activity log. This may work to increase multiple page admin activities. If you haven't seen this feature pop up on your page yet, it is being gradually unrolled across Facebook Pages. Look forward to 'Posted By' coming to your team-managed page soon.
NOTE: Only people who help manage your Page can see this information.
